Kinetic guns had no elemental attribute, otherwise functioning exactly as energy weapons, which were charged with Void , Solar or Arc light. Some special weapons in Destiny , like fusion rifles and sniper rifles were moved into the power category.

Weapons in this category were elementally charged and included weapons like rocket launchers and grenade launchers.

All classes in Destiny 2 each get another exclusive subclass to replace the Sunsinger , Defender , and Bladedancer. Warlocks get access to the Dawnblade , which allows them to wield a sword of fire which enables them to send of waves of flames at enemies.

There are a total of 9 subclasses in the game. Pop-Tarts Destiny 2 Page. Rockstar Energy Destiny 2 Contest Page Redeem up to 3 in-game engram rewards per week with 24 total available.

Work began on the game in November , just after the release of the original game. Destiny 2 was revealed worldwide on March 30, A PC version of the beta was open from August 28 to August Games Destiny The Dark Below.

Along with like 10 friends and a community of millions, we waited with baited breathe for the release of an IP that would finally culminate in something close to their original vision.

We stuck around for 3 yrs waiting for this release. Such an amazing community Honestly, the best bet is to scarp D2 and move on to D3.

Take ALL the time required to get it right! Because making a fake of this scope in 18 months is impossible. And if they keep pushing to feed us dribble, D3 will be a mess too!

I haven't heard anyone even mention the game in forever. But what did they expect? They got tons of feedback and complaints about the first game, and then made many of the same mistakes again in the sequel.

Then with each event or update they found new ways to piss off the community. The people in charge over at Bungie appear to be very incompetent.

Actually, they made a game in Destiny 2 that barely shared any similarities of the first game. THAT is what killed the game.

The "feedback" that they received from a massive minority of gamers complaining about the first game was pointless because they weren't going to like any version of Destiny regardless.

The first game was hyper successful because it had a loot grind, it had power levels to grind for, it had rewarding activities, it had great raid loot, it had for lack of a better term, GOALS.

Destiny 2 had none of that at launch and it failed miserably compared to the 1st game. They're attempting to turn Destiny 2 back into something similar to the first game to get the actual fans of that game back - but they're doing it so slowly that it's becoming moot.

I would play it, but some update introduced a feature that makes connecting take 15 mins or so, so I quit playing Destiny 2. It has one foot in the grave, fortunately for Bungie many people bought the season pass so the next "expansion" will either be Bungie's redemption or be the death of Destiny 2 as only a fool would preorder any future DLC they do after what they tried to pull with CoO.

Season pass owner here and over hours in Destiny 1. Loved it even with its many flaws. Destiny 2 feels like they just shelved the first game and turned over development of the sequel to a bunch of preschoolers who didn't know what they were doing.

I've lost my attachment to the Destiny universe and I really don't think that Bungie can bring me back. It's a real shame.

The sound design, art design and the general feel of the guns is all world class. It's such a shame that the people in charge of the game direction, story, and game play systems screwed up so badly.

They dumbed down and stripped out so much of the game it just became such a boring, lifeless, insipid experience. And that's not to mention the ridiculous loot box situation.

On the plus side Bungie are listening. The problem is it is too little too late. People expected D2 to build on the great ending to Year 3 D1.

Instead Bungie will need to spend months just to bring D2 up to the level D1 ended at. The second expansion will be the crunch point.

I can see a spike in players returning out of morbid curiosity - but if the expansion fails to impress the game will be dead.

And worse than that, no one will trust Bungie for Destiny 3 or futurte projects. The campaign is amazing. The end content i shaping up, and after the latest patch more wepons than the auto riffle is playable.

So if you havent played it i can recommend to get it. To bad it didnt release in this shape and form. Activision and greed happened to Destiny.

They scrapped the first game 16 months from launch then had people working on a sequal for 3 year pretty much and scrapped that 16 months from launch and you have D2 a POS still trying to get back to where D1 was when it launched almost a year ago.

I bought D2 a few months after release on sale because adter playing the D2 beta I knew the game was ass and this time around I wasnt going to put faith in bungie.

There will be a D3 and it wont do nearly as well as D1 or the launch of D2, when you have your most loyal youtubers deciding to not make Destiny content and Planet Destiny a channel that spawned around the franchise decided there is nothing left to talk about with D2 and they are shutting down because the game is seriously lacking; lore, meaning full machinics, PVP and content thats a very very bad sign.

I think the second expansion will bring people back for 2 weeks but "the live" team will have little to be producing stuff for.

The fall update would have be massive anf given out for free to get people back into this game and Bungie and Activison have no one but greed and themselves to blame for that with the shade bullshit Bungie has been caught doing and the seasonal stuff being built around MT, I just think Destiny has had the final nail in the coffin for it.

Their greed really played a hand, but will they learn anything since it still sold well initially? I can see their execs playing the blame game to the other MMO shooters to their fall in gamer support.

Their bottom liners suck. I doubt it unless major corps are hit seriously hard in the pocket book they learn nothing, like you said and blame everything but poor decision making and their pro corp anti consumer practices.

Activision surprisingly isn't as much to blame as Bungie in this case. It was Bungie who renegotiated their contract once the original plans for Destiny 2 were scrapped to repay finances to Activision using microtransactions instead of content DLC.

It was indeed Bungie who was so mismanaged they scrapped an entire project halfway through and pushed a game out in 16 months.

Activision didn't force them to do any of this. Activision is a terrible company with terrible business practices, yeah, but blame and responsibility were it's due, you know?

Yes it is they provided the contract rules neither part is less or more blame less in the trash fest that is Destiny 2. Kokyu It was Bungie who approached Activision for the contract renegotiation with a plan to repay Activision Blizzard using microtransactions.

A contract which required Bungie to design a game around lootboxes in a very short window. I mean I'm convinced if Activision said no Bungie would have went under.

So I have a hard time seeing the inequality of their transgressions is all. Ashamed what has happened to Destiny series in general. This is why Sony gets it and MS and other companies pushing these type of games dont.

Sea of Thieves and Destiny imo are so much alike in that respect. Destiny does have more to do and has a campaign at least although you have to be online to play it.

As I said this and SOT are so much alike and without the support or continual added content these games die a very fast death.

SOT is falling thru the floor as we speak and Destiny 2 has been a shell of what it was when it launched. Its ashamed becuz Bungie was a good dev and made a great series with Halo and it didnt revolve around MP it actually focused on story but did have MP to go with it and it worked well.

Thank God for Sony and the PS4 this gen as it shows what people truly want God of War will obliterate everything this year when it launches and Sony will sell even more consoles.

Why is it so hard for companies like Bungie and MS to just look at what Sony is doing and say to themselves SORRY for the long rant guys.

This just gets me fired up. Worst purchase in years for me, I still haven't touched the expansion either. I sold it after 3 weeks, wasn't really worth playing after getting to Max light with one character let alone all 3.

The Osiris expansion was ass, I couldn't even bring myself to finish it. After Bungie has said that it's too hard for them to create new content which is why they filled Destiny 2 with microtransations to make money that way, Destiny 2 is dead for me.

Will not play that game anymore. Got bored with it after a month or so anyway. They have an engram you get rewarded with as you play There is no guarantee for anything in said engrams and they are all cosmetic.

They just got rid of rolls on weapons and armor and took away the grind making those bright engrams stick out as an endgame grind.
